We love seeing the area bloom in the Spring, and spend time visiting parks, arboretums and trails all over the county. Don’t miss the cherry blossoms in Hurd Park in Dover (our gorgeous cover photo). Here are a few other not-to-be-missed spots:
Laurelwood Arboretum
Laurelwood Arboretum is not only a wonderful spot to explore and take in nature’s beauty, you’ll also find art sculptures tucked around the property too. Be sure to check out their web site for greenhouse tours, events and more.
Denville Township
Denville has several water fountains, but the one across from Walgreens is extra special, having being relocated from the former Saint Francis property. Cute little area to stop for a spell.
Frelinghuysen Arboretum
No matter the season, we love visiting Frelinghuysen Arboretum. Many walking paths, beautiful gardens and quiet spaces.
Madison Borough
Cherry blossom season in Madison is something else, and this spot down the street from Drew University and FDU is a beautiful area for a picnic.
