Morris County really shines during the Fall season, and with so many wonderful towns here, there is plenty to explore. Here’s a few…

MADISON
Bottle Hill Day is a long standing tradition in Madison Borough and one of our favorite events to attend. Make a point to come downtown on Saturday, October 5th and enjoy food and retail vendors, live music, a car show, and so much more.
EXPLORE THE TOWN
Beyond Bottle Hill Day, Madison is a great walkable community— you can go window shopping along Main Street or grab a picnic and bike the paths at Loantaka.
GO TO MADISON FARM AND ARTISAN MARKET
Make sure not miss the Madison Farm and Artisan Market that runs through mid-December.

Chester
Chester is a beautiful town year ‘round, but especially this time of year. It has a picturesque downtown area that is straight from a movie set. Many quaint boutiques and restaurants are peppered along Main Street, and even an old-fashioned candy shop.
VISIT NATHAN COOPER GRISTMILL
Hop into the car and visit the Nathan Cooper Gristmill. You can explore on your own or keep up with their schedule of events.
EXPLORE BAMBOO BROOK
We also love to explore the Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center. The grounds are stunning, with nature exploding around every corner.

ROCKAWAY
If you love hiking, nature walks, and generally exploring the great outdoors, Rockaway Township checks all those boxes. Grab a water bottle and friends, pack a picnic, and make a day out of it.
ENJOY EGBERT’S LAKE PARK AND SPLITROCK
We love the quiet vibe of Egbert’s Lake Park, and hiking for views at Splitrock Reservoir. Take a kayak and do some easy paddling from the floating launch dock.
HIKE THE WILDCAT RIDGE
There are so many places to explore at Wildcat Ridge. Hike to the top of “Hawkwatch” and spy views of NYC. Explore the bat cave, or find the lonely graveyard in the woods.
